What is a Family Camp?

Family Camp is a special place where adults and children alike can enjoy activities such as canoeing, archery, fishing, arts and crafts, and campfires. Many campers say that their week at Medomak is a hybrid between a traditional New England summer camp and a fun filled, memory making family vacation. Medomak creates a unique oasis for adults and children alike. Parents can choose to participate in activities or just relax and read a good book. Kids learn new skills, share new experiences with their families, make new friends and develop an appreciation for the outdoors.

A Medomak we have capacity for 11-12 families and the size of our staff is proportional to our enrollment. It is small, but we like it that way. It gives families the ability to get to know one another and interact on a personal level. Each week we are proud of the camp community that is built and the lasting friendships that develop. Since opening family camp in 1995 our camper retention rate has stayed at 50 percent. In fact, we are happy to put you in contact with past campers to hear for yourself why Medomak is considered their summer home. We hope you will consider joining us this summer and see why so many families return to Medomak Family Camp year after year.
