Outdoor Adventure/Peter Bosma Week

20120213115323.jpgOutdoor adventure week, facilitated by the one and only Peter Bosma, will offer programming (in addition to our regular family camp program) designed to help you get closer to the natural world. Campers can learn about primitive and traditional skills such as fire craft and fire by friction, edible and useful plants of the Northeast as well as engaging in hands-on explorations of the camp property and the lake.

An optional 1-2 night trip in the woods is available for interested teenagers, as well.

Peter was an instructor at Medomak Camp for 5 years and now teaches a course in traditional outdoor skills at Northern Michigan University. His love of the outdoor world is evident and his knowledge is expansive, but what really makes Peter so unique is his down-to-earth, easy-going, friendly, and approachable personality.

This is a perfect week for lover's of the outdoors, teenagers looking for something cool just for them and for people who just love Peter Bosma!

"Our family included my wife, her parents, our two sons, and an aupair new to this country. The experience was a great one, especially for the kids and their mother. The staff couldn't be nicer or more helpful. The accomodations are primative but adequate. The food was very good. The value is here as no other money has to be spent. Even a brown bag lunch is provided on campers day to explore. I highly recommend."
