Outdoor adventure week, facilitated by the one and only Peter Bosma, will offer programming (in addition to our regular family camp program) designed to help you get closer to the natural world. Campers can learn about primitive and traditional skills such as fire craft and fire by friction, edible and useful plants of the Northeast as well as engaging in hands-on explorations of the camp property and the lake.
An optional 1-2 night trip in the woods is available for interested teenagers, as well.
Peter was an instructor at Medomak Camp for 5 years and now teaches a course in traditional outdoor skills at Northern Michigan University. His love of the outdoor world is evident and his knowledge is expansive, but what really makes Peter so unique is his down-to-earth, easy-going, friendly, and approachable personality.
This is a perfect week for lover's of the outdoors, teenagers looking for something cool just for them and for people who just love Peter Bosma!
"Saying goodbye to all the great camp staff and fellow campers was difficult. We had a great week (despite cloudy skies during Astronomy week!). It is wonderful that George and Holly have preserved Medomak and are stewards to this beautiful property."
