Bill is a fiber artist and the owner of Hope Spinnery, a wind-powered fiber mill in coastal Maine. Self-taught, he learned to knit and purl before moving to his grandmother's secluded homestead in Vermont over twenty years ago. In Vermont, his talent matured exponentially and Bill is now a well-known figure in the field of fiber arts. He has a deep passion for his trade as a knitter, spinner, and designer, and is continually fascinated with the world of color and pattern. A native of Harpswell, Maine, for the last twelve years he has settled in the small town of Hope, in Maine's mid-coast region. In Hope, Bill has focused on the successful creation and development of Hope Spinnery. Bill now pursues his fiber interests as a full time career as well as an everyday pastime. |

"Our first time at Medomak. I was very glad to discover this place via the knitter's reteat. We combined camp with the retreat as well as humanly possible. I'll never forget kayaking so close to a loonwhile a bald eagle soared overhead, or the swim to Loon Island."
